DMPS School-Based Health Clinics
Services for All Students
DMPS houses two school-based health clinics located in Scavo High School at Central Campus and Hoover High School. These clinics provide health, dental and support services for all students at Des Moines Public Schools.
The Primary Health Care Clinics at Scavo and Hoover High Schools provide students with vaccinations, health and sports physicals, acute care, reproductive healthcare, and well-baby checks for children of pregnant/ parenting students.
In addition to the quality health care students receive, Primary Health Care staff members assist families in obtaining insurance, establishing a health home, and confirming if vaccinations are up to date.
The PHC medical and support staff look forward to serving the families of Des Moines Public Schools.
