Legal Support for DMPS families

Free support groups for anyone who has lost a loved one, with groups for children ages 5 and up, teens and adults. Groups will aim to foster a safe and supportive space, with a focus on finding personal strength, forming deeper relationships, sharing your story, and discovering more meaning.

Black women domestic violence survivors & co-survivors (women whose parents were abusive in their childhood) need support, knowledge, & empowerment in a culturally-infused environment from & w/their peers. That's what this program offers. It has been largely effective in helping us NOT return to DV!

Iowa Legal Aid's Community School Project will host Summer Clinics at the Welcome Center.

System-involved girls of color get a Black female facilitator to help them build a healthy relationship model & identify healthy influence w/their peers. In this 6- to 8-wk span, they get free food they choose, engaging, relatable learning techniques, & resources for support and greater health after
