Senior Ethan Straight of East High School was selected for the bass section of the All-State Orchestra. He is the first All-State selection from East in 11 years.
Sixteen DMPS student-musicians emerged from Iowa High School Music Association auditions last weekend as selectees for the annual Iowa All-State Music Festival, November 15-17 at Iowa State University in Ames. Nearly 5,000 students auditioned.
