Student-Athletes Qualify for 35 Events at 2013 State Track & Field Meet
The Roosevelt girls track and field team claimed five titles at this year’s Drake Relays, including the 4×100 relay.
Congratulations to student-athletes representing East, Hoover, Lincoln and Roosevelt who qualified to compete in 35 different events at the 2013 Iowa State Track and Field Meet. The state championship gets underway on Thursday at Drake Stadium.
Several DMPS competitors enter the state meet with the top qualifying marks in Iowa in their events, including Roosevelt’s Agnes Sayeh (100m), Alexa Hunt (shot put) and Sydne Davis (400m hurdles) as well as Lincoln’s Elihaj Young in the 110m hurdles.
