Stadium Grand Opening

Stadium InviteJoin us in celebrating the opening of Mediacom Stadium, the new venue for Des Moines Public Schools athletics and activities and Drake University soccer.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 12
Gates Open: 4:30 PM
Program and Ribbon Cutting: 5:00 PM

The event will include a chance to take a first-hand look at Iowa’s newest stadium and even try your hand (or foot) with some activities on the player field.

The 2023 high school football regular season will conclude at the new home field for DMPS:

  • October 12 – Waukee vs. Roosevelt
  • October 13 – Marshalltown vs. Lincoln
  • October 19 – Indianola vs. North
  • October 20 – Newton vs. Hoover
