East High’s Yearbook Earns 18 Awards from IHSPA

The East High School yearbook – The Quill – earned a total of 18 individual honors at the 2013 Fall Yearbook Contest, sponsored by the Iowa High School Press Association, including four first place awards.

Congratulations to teacher Natalie Niemeyer and her students for their work at making East’s longtime yearbook one of the top high school publications in Iowa.

Ms. Niemeyer notes that the results in this year’s contest – which is the equivalent of the state tournament of high school yearbooks – were a big improvement from last year, when East earned a total of five awards.
