A Moment of Silence in Memory of Sandy Hook Elementary

Even though today is a “snow day,” we hope students and staff will observe a moment of silence this morning to mourn the loss of the victims of last week’s Newtown, CT shooting tragedy.

At the request of Connecticut Governor Daniel Malloy, governors across the country are asking people to observe a moment of silence at 9:30 AM local time in remembrance of the fallen.

Especially during this holiday season, just one short week after the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy, it is appropriate for all of us all to take a moment to recognize and mourn this loss and to keep the victims and their families in our thoughts.
