Hillis Elementary School held its famous Cookie Caucus on January 3, 2012 as students vote for their favorite cookie. The candidates were M&M, sugar, chocolate chip, and Lorna Doone (by suggestion of NBC weatherman Al Roker). The school-wide mock caucus, organized by 5th grade students and teachers, was a great experience for learning the political process.
