Timeline

The following are highlights of key dates in the opening of the new Northeast Montessori School:

• November 2017 – Plans for new school announced
• December 2017 – School property purchased at 3260 E. Douglas
• Spring 2018 – Architect for new school selected
• Summer 2018 – Principal for NE Montessori School hired
• Summer 2018 – Preliminary preschools/kindergarten teachers and staff hired
• September 4, 2018 – School Board reviews and approves final plans
• November 2018 – Groundbreaking
• Late Fall/Early Winter 2018 – Construction begins
• August 2019 – First class of preschools/kindergartners attend classes at McKee
• Summer 2019 – Teachers and staff hired
• July 2020 – Construction completed
• August 2020 – The new NE Montessori School opens
