Free and Reduced Price Meals Available at DMPS for 2014-2015 School Year

DES MOINES, IA (July 14, 2014) – Des Moines Public Schools will again sponsor free and reduced-price meals for the 2014-2015 school year.

Meals are provided without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability.  Child care participants who are members of FIP or food assistance households or who are Head Start participants are automatically eligible to receive free meals. Meals are also available at no charge to children enrolled in the following schools:

  • Mitchell Elementary School
  • Woodlawn Education Center
  • McKee Education Center
  • Jesse Franklin Taylor at Casady Alternative Center
  • Capitol View Elementary School
  • Moulton Extended Learning Center
  • River Woods Elementary School
  • McKinley Elementary School
  • Smouse Opportunity School
  • Willard Elementary School

Enrolled children at other DMPS schools may be eligible for free or reduced price meals based on the following income guidelines.
