Attend School Board Workshop
Whether you are planning to run for a seat on the Des Moines School Board or just want to know more about the roles and responsibilities of the board, attending a free workshop is a great first step.
The School Board is hosting two workshops this summer. They will share insights into governing, information about the Board’s work, review major issues that come before the board, and answer questions.
In this workshop you will learn about the school board’s work on issues ranging from approving the budget to improving student achievement, and how that relates both to the roles of district teachers and staff, and to our community.
The August 5 workshop will be held in the Board Room at Central Campus, 1800 Grand Avenue in Des Moines.
