Congratulations to swimmers from East, Lincoln and Roosevelt who qualified in district meets over the weekend for the 2020 Iowa High School Boys State Swimming Meet on February 15 at the University of Iowa Campus Recreation & Wellness Center in Iowa City.

Individual qualifiers include:

Senior Kade Dolphin – 50 yard freestyle

Junior Will Bennett – 50 and 100 yard freestyles

Junior Matthew Crist –  200 and 500 yard freestyles
Junior Jack Olson – 100 yard backstroke

Lincoln and Roosevelt also qualified units in three relays. The Rails will be swimming in the 200 and 400 yard freestyle events with squads comprised from Bennett, junior Keaton Basinger, junior Matthew Gudenkauf, senior Konnor Klocke and senior Logan Neifert. The Riders qualified in the 200 yard medley as well as the 200 and 400 yard freestyles and will compete with a combination of the following swimmers: Crist, Olson, senior Mason DeLange, sophomore Ryan Huang, junior Jack Joyce, junior Ezra Odole and freshman Carson Lane.
