Congratulations to swimmers from East, Lincoln and Roosevelt who qualified for the boys’ state swimming meet in district competition over the weekend. The state meet is next Saturday at the University of Iowa’s Rec & Wellness Center.

Lincoln senior Javier Santiago will compete in both the butterfly and backstroke. Lincoln also qualified a pair of relay units.

East senior Alex Liu qualified in both of the individual sprints. He set a new school record in both the 50 and 100 yard freestyle.

Roosevelt will send two relays in addition to sophomore backstroker Jack Olson and senior breaststroker George Holtz.
