Swimmers and divers from East, Hoover, Lincoln and Roosevelt are heading to the State Swimming and Diving Championship this weekend, the result of strong performances at regional qualifying meets held late last week. They will be competing in seven different events at State.

One DMPS student-athlete to keep an eye on is Lincoln’s Jolynn Harris. The senior diver had the top qualifying score in the state. Last year she finished 4th at the State meet.

The State Swimming and Diving Championship is held in Marshalltown at the YMCA/YWCA. The diving competition is on Friday, November 3 starting at 5:00 PM. The swimming competition gets underway at Noon on Saturday, November 4.
