Auditions were held at six regional sites around the state last weekend by the Iowa High School Music Association.

Out of more than 6,000 students approximately 17% were selected to perform in the 277-piece All-State Band, the 190-piece All-State Orchestra, or the 600-voice All-State Chorus.

Nominees will participate in the annual All-State Music Festival at Iowa State University in Ames on November 17-19.
