The Roosevelt boys bowling team qualified for the state high school tournament, to be held February 22 in Des Moines.

Swimming, wrestling and now bowling. The parade of DMPS student-athletes to the winter sports state tournaments continues!

Congratulations to the Lincoln Rails girls team and the Roosevelt Roughriders boys team on their qualification for the state high school bowling tournament.

The tournament will be held next Wednesday, February 22nd, at Plaza Lanes here in Des Moines.

In addition to those team qualifiers, East junior Dylan McFarland and Roosevelt freshman Hunter Gloden will compete as individuals.

For the Lincoln girls this will be their fourth consecutive appearance at state. Let’s see, four strikes in a row – isn’t that what you call a “hambone”?

Good luck next week!
